Thanks to owners of all 25 houses for giving the Board of Directors your opinions on STL. The majority of owners (close to 75%) were against allowing rentals of Camelot Greens houses for less than 30 days. Concerns were expressed about increased traffic, noise, and crime.
Owners who did not want to restrict STL often mentioned that they felt that the Fairfax County regulations were sufficient to prevent problems. Others stated that the owners of a house disagreed and thus could not vote in favor or against. To restrict STL requires notarized signatures of at least 75% of owners for an amendment to our Declaration of Covenants, Restrictions and Conditions to be enacted.
The Board of Directors was informed of the results and voted unanimously NOT to go forward with drafting an amendment to restrict STL at this time.
We were not certain of being able to obtain 75% of the needed signatures.
If problems develop in the future, STL restrictions can be reconsidered.
